During 2020 the world changed for all of us in ways we could never of imagined. Suddenly unable to work I had too much time on my hands. As a nail technician I'm used to being busy and working with my hands to be creative. With lots of spare time I decided to put it to use and embrace something that had previously just been a hobby. I've always enjoyed working with different fragrances and wax to create melts that I would use at home for personal use. It's something that I'm really passionate about.
Being in the beauty industry I have always enjoyed visiting Spa's locally and on my travels whenever possible. For me the Spa experience starts way before the treatment begins, it's from the moment I enter the facility. The aroma that engulfs your senses and washes over your body and relaxing your state of mind. Be it a relaxing floral lavender, a heavenly sweet fragrance or a sultry spicy scent. That being said I have always tried to create this within my nail boutique, by using branded candles or reed diffusers. My love for branded candles started to change when I began to notice that the burn time was getting shorter but the price was increasing. This is when I started to experiment, initially just for my own personal use and then in my nail boutique for my clients to enjoy.
Fast forward to 2020 with time to fill I decided to start making my wax melts in larger quantities and different designs, this is where "Cera De Amor" was born. The meaning behind the name is "Wax Love" in Spanish, I have to thank my husband for the idea of the name! With my mind now going into overdrive with lots of new ideas from scents, products, sets and designs I just went for it and started a facebook page. It took off better than I could of ever expected!
Moving forward to 2024 and we have just opened our very own shop/unit. We have a retail area and also make everything within the space. I always dreamed this would happen so and beyond chuffed to of made it reality!
So here we are now, with lots of returning customers, lots of new products, still more products to come in the future that are currently still in the testing process and still so many exciting ideas in my mind that I want to create plus my very own website that I built myself. Currently I try to keep as much stock as possible but sometimes I will pour to order depending on stock availability, I will do my best to get items turned around and dispatched within 7 days if they aren’t in stock. We also offer free collection for local customers, simply choose that option at the checkout and we will email you to arrange collection.
